I was in the British Virgin Islands on a sailboat, you can see where this is going ... even so I was careful to apply sunscreen regularly. However, snorkeling is a recipe for a bad burn-never hear it coming until they are out of the water and then it's too late. We docked somewhere and the gift shop had a bottle of this stuff. I was traveling with someone bought for me, bless them. I applied about 4 times during the evening / night and the next day I was fine,also beginning to tan-I am a red and that was unheard of for me. However, I'm buying more. I can not believe you can get on Amazon! E 'tea tree oil and eualyptus that help with pain relief and healing I think. aloe alone is not good. I tried lots of remedies such as baking soda, vinegar, apple cider, Noxema are ok. but if you can get this will be much better. can save your vacation-pack it with you! I'm going to cancun this year with my children anddefinitely be prepared!
My instructions for treating burns developed after careful research and experimentation:
As soon as possible, take a cool bath in the first place if you have milk or vinegar to put in the bath or soak in yogurt shot that 15 minutes (the acid changes the pH of the skin and stops the pain). then dry and apply the stuff carribean solutions (cold, dry refrigerator or ice if available) if you do not burn well may need a second bathroom in a few hours. also take aspirin(He stops the reaction of inflammation) or aleeve. if you really should also take vitamin C, alpha lipoic acid (fat soluble vitamin C) and linseed oil or fish oil supplement for skin healing. avoid alcohol, drink plenty of cold water and cool things to eat foods such as juicy fruit and salad and cucumber. once the heat is gone from the burn as the account the next day with CS stuff, but consider addding kukui oil (linoleic acid is good for the skin) or some other moisturizer. if stillhave the warmth of the skin to skip the heavy moisturizers that can contain the heat and lengthen the healing time. cont with the CS gel followed by oil for several days.
